Overview
The Live Oak Part Qualifier application is
a software application that helps organizations manage the
process of qualifying and testing new parts, modified parts, or new
suppliers. We realize that the process of testing and retesting
parts can become very cumbersome. Our Part Qualifier eliminates
the hassles associated with the testing of these parts. The testing
and retesting of new parts is often called First Article Inspection
Report (FAIR) by our customers, often times manufacturers may have
additional test that they run on raw materials. Whatever the
material test may be that your organization is running, our Part
Qualifier tool can assist by automating your procedures. Each
manufacturer is different that is why Live Oak Technologies has
developed a flexible Part Qualification application that can be
tailored to fit any manufacturing organization.
The testing process starts out with the
manufacturer logging in and identifying what type of test is going
to be performed. Test
request information such as part #, part description, quantity
requested, supplier information, etc… is then entered by an
employee. Once the part qualification request is initiated it is
routed to the supplier for their acceptance. If the supplier can
meet the manufacturers request then the individual part
qualification will be routed back to the manufacturing for testing
to begin. Once the material arrives the manufacturer will follow
the testing procedures and log the testing results into the part
qualifier. If a part happens to be rejected the supplier will be
immediately notified and a new test shipment will be requested.
Otherwise the supplier will be notified that their part has
successfully passed testing.
